The Scottish Highlands

A few interesting facts we picked up on our walk in the Storr Mountains... Near the summit of the Storr Mountains you can find one of Scotland's rarest plants, a remnant from the ice age, Iceland Purslane. In 1890 a hoard of Viking silver was found on the shore here dated to around AD 938. We never found out why all the trees had been cut down???
